Chalong Police Crack Down on Serial Thieves
Chalong Police Crack Down on Serial Thieves — confirmed details at this stage for Phuket readers.
Chalong Police arrested two men suspected of committing a series of thefts across Phuket, following multiple reports from residents on March 28. Officers identified the suspects, a 24-year-old known as Lek and a 42-year-old known as Mai, after reviewing CCTV footage and linking them to crimes involving stolen electrical cables and fuel.

Evidence and Charges
Investigators determined the suspects used a motorcycle with a sidecar to target neighborhoods and steal property, police said. The Phuket Provincial Court issued arrest warrants for three separate cases based on evidence gathered.
Both men confessed during questioning and admitted selling the stolen goods, according to officials. Police seized the motorcycle as evidence and charged the suspects with joint theft at night, disguising themselves, and using a vehicle to facilitate the crimes.
