ThaiBev will lead the 11th annual “Water Festival 2026” across four regions of Thailand, including Phuket, from April 11 to 15. The event, organized in partnership with government, private sector, and local networks, will mark the Songkran New Year with the theme “Fun Songkran at My Home.” Organizers aim to showcase Thai traditions and boost both domestic and international tourism during the five-day festival.

Festival Locations and Key Activities

The Water Festival 2026 will take place in six provinces: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Phuket, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen. In Bangkok, activities are set for major historical landmarks such as Wat Pho, Wat Arun, and Asiatique The Riverfront, with free Chao Phraya express boat service connecting ten piers.

Each location will highlight local cultural identities and host eight auspicious activities, including traditional blessings and merit-making. The Tourism Authority of Thailand projects 5.96 million domestic trips and 500,000 international arrivals during the festival, generating an estimated 30.35 billion baht in tourism revenue—a 6% increase from the previous year. Organizers expect the festival to play a key role in stimulating spending and dispersing travel nationwide.
