Major Events and Highlights for the 200th Anniversary
Opening day on March 23 will include a sacred relic worship ceremony and the "golden sash changing" ritual for Thao Suranari, followed by a mass dance performance involving thousands of Korat women and a fireworks display of seven sets.
A nightly sound-and-light show titled “Ya Chan Than Chue Mo: The 200-Year Promise” will blend local culture with modern techniques, focusing on the enduring bond between the city and its heroine.
A Thai textile charity runway will promote regional fabrics such as Pak Thong Chai silk, with proceeds supporting the provincial Red Cross’s aid work.
