The incident was attributed to several travel bloggers promoting the location on social media as a "nude beach." This led to a surge of international tourists flocking to experience the freedom offered at the area, which was known as "Shadow Beach." Shadow Beach is located along an approximately 800-meter-long coastal trail that leads directly to Laem Phromthep Point.
