Police at the Tha Chatchai checkpoint arrested a suspect for smuggling nearly 4,000 methamphetamine pills in Phuket at 2:30 a.m. on March 31. Officers stopped a suspicious SUV during the early morning operation and conducted a search, police said.

Officers confiscated close to 4,000 methamphetamine tablets from the vehicle during the search. The suspect was informed of the charges and legal rights before being taken into custody.
