A 50-year-old salesman suspected of shooting a co-worker inside the warehouse of a major retail and wholesale chain was arrested by Phuket police on Tuesday, April 7. Officers tracked the man, identified only as Mr. Koi, to a small hotel in Phuket Town after he fled the scene, authorities said.
Arrest Operation and Charges
Police located Mr. Koi at a budget hotel on Kra Road in Talad Yai, acting on tips from local residents. He was arrested without resistance by officers from both Phuket City Police and the Provincial Investigation Division.
Investigators recovered the revolver allegedly used in the shooting, along with 25 rounds of ammunition. During questioning, Mr. Koi confessed, citing long-standing disputes with the victim as a motive.
He faces several charges: attempted murder, illegal firearm possession, carrying a weapon in public without authorization, and discharging a firearm in a populated area. Police stated that the investigation into the motive and circumstances is ongoing.
