Alleged Nordic mafia leader wanted by Interpol arrested inPhuket
» PHUKET - A suspected Nordic crime syndicate leader wanted under an Interpol red notice has been arrested at a luxury condominium in Phuket.
An alleged leader of the Nordic mafia, wanted by Interpol, was arrested in Phuket on April 10, police said. The man, whose name was not immediately released, was detained at a luxury villa in the Cherng Talay area. Officers from the Crime Suppression Division coordinated with international agencies to carry out the operation.
International Warrant and Charges
Interpol had issued a red notice for the suspect in connection with organized crime activities in Europe. Police said the man faces multiple charges including drug trafficking and money laundering.
He is expected to be extradited after authorities complete legal procedures. The arrest follows months of surveillance and information sharing between Thai and European law enforcement agencies.
