A young motorcyclist was killed and a car destroyed by fire in a fatal collision in front of the Muslim Koh Kaew School, Koh Kaew, early Friday morning, Phuket City Police said. Emergency crews responded at approximately 3:00 a.m. on April 11, finding the rider fatally injured and the car engulfed in flames.
Sequence of the Crash and Police Response
Investigators at the scene found a damaged motorcycle lying on the road and the rider’s body nearby. The car had veered onto the median after the impact, striking a utility pole before catching fire.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze, but the vehicle was completely destroyed. Initial police inquiries suggest the motorcyclist may have lost control and fallen prior to being struck by the oncoming car.
Authorities are currently gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to clarify the circumstances. Police stated a full investigation is underway to establish responsibility and determine any legal action.
