Phuket has recorded two deaths in the first two days of the Songkran Seven Days of Danger road safety campaign, which began April 10 and runs through April 16, 2026. The latest fatality occurred on April 11, when a young Thai motorcyclist died in an accident that also left a car destroyed by fire in Koh Kaew.

Accident and Injury Breakdown
Officials reported seven road accidents in Phuket on April 11, resulting in six hospital admissions. The injured included four men and two women, with victims identified as three Thai nationals, one Russian, one British, and one Myanmar citizen.
Across April 10 and 11, a total of nine people were hospitalized due to road accidents. The cumulative tally included four Thai nationals, two Russians, one British, one Myanmar citizen, and one Turkish national, according to the Phuket Road and Marine Accident Prevention and Reduction Operations Center.
The first death of the campaign was a Thai woman, as confirmed in the initial accident report for April 10.
