ThaiBev will host the Phuket Water Festival 2026 from April 11 to 13 at Patong Beach and Wat Mai Khao, celebrating Songkran’s new status as a UNESCO-recognised cultural heritage. The event, themed “สนุกสนาน สงกรานต์บ้านฉัน,” aims to invite locals and visitors to experience traditional Thai water festivities in Phuket.
Cultural Activities and Community Focus
The festival features Thai and Sino-Thai cultural performances, contemporary music from local schools, and community market stalls offering regional food and crafts. Patong Beach will host creative beachside activities and music shows daily from 15:00 to 21:00.
On April 13, Wat Mai Khao will hold a morning merit-making ceremony, Buddha water-pouring, and the traditional ritual of paying respects to elders. The schedule also includes a community beach clean-up and educational activities at Ban Mai Khao School.
ThaiBev’s event is part of a nationwide series marking Songkran’s UNESCO listing, with simultaneous festivals in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, and Udon Thani. Organisers said the Phuket edition continues a tradition now in its eleventh year, highlighting sustainable management and promoting Thai cultural tourism to international audiences.
