Focus on Sustainable Practices and Global Collaboration

GSTC 2026 centers on three main themes: Sustainable Hospitality, Resilient Cities & Communities, and Carrying Capacity & Visitor Distribution Management. The conference aims to strengthen Thailand’s leadership in sustainable tourism and align national standards with international benchmarks.

Key activities include a welcome dinner at Blue Elephant Phuket, panel discussions on climate adaptation, disaster recovery, and waste management in hotels, as well as workshops on responsible resource use and inclusive economic participation. A post-conference tour on April 24 will showcase local community, marine, and environmental conservation efforts.

Organizers have implemented sustainability measures such as calculating and offsetting greenhouse gas emissions, minimizing paper and plastic usage, and using recyclable materials. Each attendee will contribute to reforestation through a tree-planting initiative with Reforest, supporting ecosystem restoration in Phuket.
