Cape Panwa Phuket redesigns Panwa Lodge in Tropical Colonial style
The 321-square-metre beachfront residence now features a private pool and interiors combining colonial architecture with tropical design.
Cape Panwa Phuket has redesigned its Panwa Lodge beachfront residence in a Tropical Colonial style, with the hotel presenting the project as part of an upgrade aimed at premium and luxury travellers. The redesign was reported on 25 September 2026.
The 321-square-metre residence includes 160 square metres of indoor space and a 37.6-square-metre outdoor swimming pool. Its layout can be adapted to provide up to three bedrooms. The current arrangement includes two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a large living area, a dining room, a bar counter and a relaxation room that can be converted into a sofa bed.
The design combines Western-influenced colonial architecture with a tropical setting. Olive green, cream and earth tones are used throughout, alongside antique four-poster beds, classic wooden furniture, rattan chairs, natural fabrics and locally sourced products, according to Thirawalk Pangsriwong, the group’s project development manager.
The redesign also retains details inspired by Panwa House, a Sino-Portuguese-style mansion. Decorative features include gingerbread-style woodwork, tropical plants, palm-themed furnishings and a rattan monkey-shaped table. Large windows and glass doors connect the interior with the surrounding landscape, while the front terrace opens towards the private pool and sunbathing area.
Cape Panwa Phuket began renovating rooms and restaurants in late 2025. The wider programme has included the Mediterranean-style Top of the Reef restaurant and Pool Villa, Panwa Suite Sea View and Panwa Suite Garden View accommodation categories.
