The crash happened at the traffic-light-controlled three-way junction at the hospital entrance on Thepkrasattri Rd, where footage shared online showed the collision.
Dashcam video fuels concern over hospital entrance safety
The video showed an ambulance from Pa Khlok Municipality travelling outbound on Thepkrasattri Rd before turning right into the hospital. Vehicles in other lanes had stopped to let the emergency vehicle pass.
As the ambulance turned through the intersection, a black sedan travelling at speed crashed into its side. The impact shocked nearby motorists visible in the footage.
