Darasamut Underpass to close nightly for barrier repairs
The Darasamut Underpass in Phuket will close from 9pm to 5am each night until 30 October while concrete barriers are repaired.
The Darasamut Underpass in Phuket will close nightly from 9pm to 5am until 30 October while the Phuket Highways Office repairs concrete barriers inside the tunnel.
The closure began on 8 October, according to an announcement from the Phuket Highways Office. The work is being supervised by civil engineer Kritsada Sukprasert.
The office apologised for the inconvenience and urged motorists to take care when travelling through the area during the repair period.
Motorists can report damaged road surfaces, potholes, lighting or electrical failures, malfunctioning traffic signals, fallen or hazardous trees, and damaged traffic signs to the Phuket Highways Office on 076-212179 during office hours. The Department of Highways hotline, 1586, is available free of charge around the clock.
