Fire breaks out in Mobile ICU ambulance outside Phuket hospital emergency department
A fire damaged a Mobile ICU ambulance outside Vachira Phuket Hospital’s emergency department on October 11. Officials brought the blaze under control, with the cause and damage still under investigation.
A fire broke out at 7.08am on October 11 in a Mobile ICU ambulance belonging to Vachira Phuket Hospital, while it was parked outside the hospital’s emergency department and emergency trauma centre on Yaowarat Road in Mueang Phuket district.
Officials from Phuket City Municipality’s disaster prevention and mitigation department and other agencies responded and brought the fire under control.
No serious injuries were initially reported. The ambulance was estimated to be worth several million baht, while the cause of the fire and the exact extent of the damage remained under investigation.
