Fire damages luxury villa in Kamala

A fire damaged the third floor of a three-storey villa in Kamala, with no one staying at the property and no injuries reported.

Kamala Police were notified at about 5:10pm after an acquaintance of the homeowner saw the fire on an upper floor and alerted authorities. Firefighters were sent to the villa in the Ayara 1 development, Moo 6, and brought the blaze under control.

Smoke from the hillside property was visible from the Surin Beach area. Police conducted an initial inspection, but the cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage remain under investigation.
