Fire damages six of nine workers’ camp units in Pa Khlok
Six units at a workers’ camp in Pa Khlok were damaged by fire. No one was injured, and police are investigating the cause.
A fire damaged six of nine workers’ camp units in Moo 2, Pa Khlok, Thalang, police said.
Thalang Police were notified at about 11:23pm after a local resident reported the blaze. Patrol officers, an inquiry officer and an investigation officer went to the camp, where firefighters brought the fire under control.
No one was injured and there were no deaths. Police said no workers were at the camp when the fire broke out because they were working elsewhere.
The fire damaged six units, two motorbikes, four refrigerators, electrical appliances and personal belongings, according to police.
The cause remains under investigation. Police said nobody witnessed the actual outbreak of the blaze. Forensic officers have been notified and are expected to examine the scene and interview witnesses.
The investigation is being overseen by Thalang Police Station Superintendent Pol Col Nikorn Chuthong.
