A foreign tourist couple has been accused of shoplifting at stores in Patong and Rawai, Phuket, in incidents that have not been publicly verified by authorities.
At a convenience store in Patong, a Thai shopper reportedly told employees that she had seen the pair placing products inside a bag before they reached the checkout. Staff later allegedly found unpaid items among their belongings, although the couple reportedly denied stealing anything.
Social media users have also linked the pair to a separate incident at a clothing shop in Rawai, where trousers valued at B1,595 were allegedly taken while one person acted as a lookout.
The tourists’ nationalities remain unconfirmed. Authorities have not publicly established whether formal police complaints have been filed in either case.
