Foreign tourists stole a guitar from a parked motorbike in Karon at about 2:30am on April 24, according to police and CCTV footage. The theft took place on Thainai Rd, opposite the home of a local village headman and near the Beyond Surf Kata Phuket, with the instrument left on the seat of Kasidit Nommuang’s motorcycle.
CCTV Footage and Police Response
Video from nearby cameras shows two foreign men arriving on a motorcycle. One moves their own bike while the other takes the guitar from Mr Kasidit’s vehicle before both leave on a white Honda Click.
Mr Kasidit, 19, reported the incident to Karon Police Station, where Pol Lt Col Narutphon Kaewlae confirmed the theft and ongoing efforts to identify the suspects. Police have not released descriptions of the men but expect the CCTV evidence to aid the investigation.
Mr Kasidit has also appealed for public help on social media to identify the individuals involved. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact investigators.
