A foreign man in Phuket is offering a B30,000 reward for information leading to the return of his missing orange cat, Mars, which disappeared from a hotel near Bang Wad Reservoir in Kathu district on 7 September.
The unnamed owner contacted the Phuket Times Facebook page and asked it to share a missing-pet notice. Mars has light orange-and-white fur and scars around his neck where hair does not grow.
According to the owner, he found Mars seriously injured on 9 December 2025. After receiving treatment and help from several people, the cat survived, and the man adopted him.
Mars was wearing a collar fitted with an AirTag when he disappeared, although the owner said he was unsure whether the tracking device was still working. A Thai man later commented on the Phuket Times post that he had seen a similar-looking cat outside a supermarket in Kathu and had fed it, but he was unsure whether it was Mars.
The owner asked the man for more information and said he was concerned about Mars's health. Anyone with information can contact the owner by phone or WhatsApp on 096-819-5511. It has not been confirmed whether Mars has been found.
