The incident took place around 3:30 p.m. and reportedly began when the victim asked the tourists not to spray water, resulting in a violent confrontation that left him bloodied and injured. Police Response and Additional Arrests
Investigators identified and detained the suspects as Mr. Bouboune and Mr. Heraoui, both French nationals. They were brought in for questioning and official documentation.
Patong police also confirmed the arrest of seven French nationals for obstructing traffic during Songkran festivities on Prachanukhro Road near Malin Market. The injured Thai man was escorted to meet with investigators to provide his statement.
