The Interior Ministry has transferred Samut Sakhon Deputy Governor Police Captain Ketrat Chansilp to Phuket, effective June 16, 2026, as part of a five-person reshuffle.
Thailand's Interior Ministry has transferred Samut Sakhon Deputy Governor Police Captain Ketrat Chansilp to the post of deputy governor of Phuket, effective June 16, 2026.
The move was part of an Interior Ministry order dated June 15, 2026, covering five deputy governor transfers at the junior executive level. The order, numbered 1583/2569, took effect from June 16 and instructed the officials to report to their new posts in June.
Before the transfer took effect, Ketrat met Samut Sakhon Governor Amnat Charoensri to take leave from his duties in the province before departing for Phuket.
The reshuffle also changed Phuket's deputy governor lineup in three positions. The ministry transferred Theerapong Chuaychu, deputy governor of Phuket, to become deputy governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat. Adul Chuthong, also a deputy governor of Phuket, was transferred to Songkhla as deputy governor. Romdon Haji-a-wae, deputy governor of Songkhla, was moved to Phuket as deputy governor.
The same order transferred Wachiraporn Amatyakul, deputy governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat, to Samut Sakhon as deputy governor.
The transfers directly affect Phuket's provincial administration, with Ketrat and Romdon appointed to deputy governor posts in the province under the latest Interior Ministry reshuffle.
