Krabi Provincial Police said a drug operation on May 11 led to the seizure of more than 280,000 methamphetamine pills, including 80,000 bound for Phuket. The case began with the arrest of a key distributor believed to be supplying drugs within the network, and officers took 80,000 ya bah pills in the initial raid.
Parcel deliveries used to move drugs to Phuket and Phang Nga
Investigators later found the network had been using parcel delivery companies to send drugs to recipients in Phuket and Phang Nga. Police then coordinated with anti-narcotics units to monitor suspected shipments linked to the group.
Authorities intercepted another 120,000 methamphetamine pills headed for Phang Nga and a further 80,000 destined for Phuket. Police said the couriers assigned to collect the parcels did not appear, and all seized drugs were kept as evidence for legal proceedings.
Investigators are continuing efforts to track down and arrest other members of the network.
