Laguna Phuket Marathon 2026 Presented by Supersports drew more than 7,000 runners to Phuket as the event marked its 20th anniversary at Laguna Grove, Laguna Phuket.

The race was held over two days under a "Sunset-Sunrise" concept. On Saturday, June 13, runners took part in the Sunset Run, which included a 2-kilometre youth race, a 5-kilometre route through local villages, and a 10-kilometre beachside course at sunset. On Sunday morning, June 14, the Sunrise Run featured the half marathon over 21.0975 kilometres and the full marathon over 42.195 kilometres.

According to the source, the longer routes passed through Baan Don, Thalang district and Nai Yang, before returning via Layan Beach, with runners moving through tropical forest, rubber plantations and pineapple fields. The event described the course as one of the most scenic in Asia.

In the full marathon competition, elite runners from China competed in Phuket for the first time. Zhipeng Huang won the men's title in 2:45:35, while Ling Wu took the women's title in 3:03:46.

The event also featured celebrity participants, including Ann Thongprasom in the half marathon, and Artiwara Kongmalai, known as Toon Bodyslam, with Ratchawin Wongviriya and their children in the 2-kilometre junior run.

Organisers also highlighted inclusive participation. In the 5-kilometre race, runners aged up to 83 took part, including Arak Thongtan, who finished in 51:56:30, and Somboon Chaipinijpan, who recorded 33:46:50.

Beyond competition, the marathon raised more than 40,000 baht through its Running Club Affiliate Program. The money will be given to Laguna Phuket for the Children First Fund to support food and nutrition for more than 400 underprivileged children in Phuket.
