Police in Patong arrested a man at a hotel on Phra Baramee Road after finding 903 methamphetamine pills, 11.73 grams of crystal methamphetamine, also known as ice, and B70,000 in cash.
Patong police said the raid on 19 August 2026 was part of an ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking and outstanding warrants. The cash was believed to be proceeds from drug sales, according to police.
Authorities charged the man with possession of Category 1 narcotics with intent to sell, trafficking for commercial purposes and illegal consumption of methamphetamine. He and the seized evidence were taken to Patong Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
