Phuket Tourist Police arrested a Myanmar national accused of working illegally as a motorcycle food delivery rider, authorities said.
The suspect was detained at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, during intensified enforcement against foreign nationals working without proper authorization in Phuket. He was arrested on a charge of “being a foreigner working outside the rights granted” under Thailand’s Royal Decree on the Management of Foreign Workers (2017).
Authorities said the man had been working as a motorcycle food delivery driver, a job restricted under Thai labor law for foreign nationals without the appropriate permits. Officers documented the arrest and transferred the suspect to investigators for legal proceedings.
