Nene Royal returns to Phuket after reported America’s Got Talent 2026 win
Fans and officials welcomed Nene Royal at Phuket International Airport after her reported America’s Got Talent 2026 victory.
Nene Royal returned to Thailand through Phuket International Airport on Sunday after being reported as the winner of America’s Got Talent 2026, drawing fans, residents and provincial officials to the terminal.
Thai Post reported that Royal arrived at about 10.50am on Cathay Pacific flight CX771 with family members and fellow OZONE band members. Phuket’s governor, the Thalang district chief, the airport director, the Saku police chief and executives from True Corporation, the event’s main sponsor, were among those who welcomed her.
The reception included a ceremonial cloth featuring a leaf design from Ratsada subdistrict’s OTOP products being placed around Royal by the Phuket governor. Supporters shouted “Nene, you’re the best” and “Nene, you’re very talented” as she left the terminal, while security officers managed the crowd.
The report also said Kaew Boonkerd, 89, travelled from Chulabhorn district in Nakhon Si Thammarat with relatives after having named Royal “Praew” at birth. She embraced and kissed her granddaughter when Royal came out of the terminal.
Phuket had planned a public welcome from 5pm on Sunday. The programme was to include a parade through Phuket’s Old Town, beginning at Limelight Phuket and travelling to the Charter Bank intersection, with Royal and provincial officials riding in an open-top electric vehicle provided by Phuket City Municipality. The event was also scheduled to include a formal welcome, a presentation of flowers and a performance by Royal with OZONE.
