The Phuket International Book Fair opened Thursday at Central Phuket Floresta, featuring more than half a million books on sale until May 3. The event, launched by PPAO President Rewat Areerob, runs daily from 10am to 10pm at the Floresta Mini Convention Hall and aims to make international literature accessible to Phuket and Southern Thailand.
Focus on Literacy, Language, and Community Access
Organisers from Plan for Kids, Big Bad Wolf Books, and Central Phuket have stocked the fair with Thai and English titles, including children’s books, young adult fiction, and adult literature. International publishers are offering high-quality books at heavily reduced prices to broaden access.
Alongside retail sales, the fair features book donation initiatives targeting children and underserved communities. Special promotions include additional discounts and complimentary gifts for qualifying purchases, with a focus on engaging students, families, and young readers.
This marks the fourth time the fair has been held in Phuket, with previous editions drawing strong support. Organisers said the initiative is designed to foster a sustainable learning society in the region.
