Panadda defends herself as Phuket pool villa donation allegation reaches CSD
Suspended Do Good Foundation chairwoman Panadda Wongphudee presented evidence to police while a separate allegation accused her of misusing donations to build a pool villa in Phuket.
Suspended Do Good Foundation chairwoman Panadda Wongphudee reported to Ban Na police in Nakhon Nayok on 31 October to present evidence denying an allegation that she and her husband encroached on forest reserves to build a trail-running facility.
Panadda, accompanied by a lawyer, submitted a land contract and said the transaction was between her husband, Atip Anantawan, and the local administration office. She said she was not involved and would follow the legal process to prove her innocence.
Separately, Boonyanuch Saengsri, who owns the ‘Oysri’ and ‘Phong Phuak’ Facebook pages, went to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) with additional evidence accusing Panadda of allegedly misusing foundation donations to build a pool villa in Phuket.
The allegations include questions about the foundation’s three donation bank accounts: one held by the foundation and two held by Panadda and her husband. Panadda said spending above B500,000 from the foundation’s account requires approval from its board.
Lawyer Amnuaiporn Maneewan questioned whether Atip, who is neither a board member nor a foundation employee, could approve spending on behalf of the organisation. Atip said on Instagram that he was consulting his legal team.
