Patong hotel turns returning guest’s towel request into animal display

Housekeeping staff at Patong Bay Residence in Patong, Kathu district, Phuket, created a display of towel animals after a returning guest left a note asking for them.

The guest, who reportedly returns to the hotel every year, wrote: “Can you also make towel animals, Thank you.” The guest also left a cash tip for the housekeeping team.

Staff folded towels into figures including a giraffe, peacock, rhinoceros, dinosaur, frog, bear, pig, rabbit, dog, monkey and penguin, filling the bed with what the hotel described as a miniature zoo.

In a post shared by the hotel, the team said: “Guest requested towel animals… and our housekeeping team went ALL IN! A little request, with a lot of heart.”

The story attracted attention online, with viewers praising the housekeeping team for turning a small guest request into a memorable part of the stay in Phuket.
