Patong Pride parade draws thousands at Phuket Pride Festival 2026
Thousands attended the Patong Pride parade at Phuket Pride Festival 2026, with organisers saying more than 40 groups joined the largest procession of its kind on the island to date.
Thousands of people lined the streets of Patong on Saturday as the Phuket Pride Festival 2026 parade moved from Ratchaprajanukroh Road along the beachfront and through Bangla Road before ending at Jungceylon shopping centre.
The parade began at 5pm from the area in front of Duangjitt Resort & Spa and drew residents, tourists and LGBTQIAN+ supporters from Thailand and abroad. Organisers said more than 40 parade groups took part, making it the largest Phuket Pride parade to date.
The event was organised by the Andaman Power Phuket Association in partnership with Patong Municipality and public and private sector organisations under the theme “Be Loud, Be Proud, Be You”.
Patong Mayor Lalita Maneesri joined municipal officials, community leaders and representatives from government agencies in the procession. Also attending were Anekchai Ruangratanakorn, adviser to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security; Naphat Em-on, Inspector General of the Department of Provincial Administration and acting Phuket provincial palad; Phuket MPs Orathai Kerdsub and Chalermpong Saengdee; and Andaman Power Phuket Association President Supakorn Suwan.
The parade concluded at Arena Bay at Jungceylon, where the official Phuket Pride Festival 2026 ceremony was held. Evening events included performances by Simon Cabaret Phuket, entertainment acts and live stage activities aimed at promoting understanding, acceptance and equal rights for LGBTQIAN+ communities.
Officials said the festival reflects Phuket’s commitment to inclusion and to strengthening the island’s reputation as a welcoming international destination for people of all backgrounds, cultures and identities.
Organisers also highlighted 2026 as a significant year for Phuket as the province prepares to host the InterPride General Meeting and World Conference later this year. They said the festival forms part of broader efforts to position Phuket as a global “Pride City” and LGBTQIAN+ destination while supporting tourism, cultural exchange and the creative economy.
NBT Phuket also reported that more than 40 parade contingents joined the procession, with performances from Simon Cabaret Phuket, Cruise Club Phuket and artists from “The Voice Pride Thailand” continuing the celebrations late into the night.
