Patong receives Platinum-level 2026 local government award

Patong Town Municipality has received the 2026 High Potential Local Government Award at Platinum level in the town municipality category.

The award was presented to Patong Mayor Lalita Maneesri by Deputy Interior Minister Worasit Liangprasit during a ceremony at the Vayupak Convention Centre in Bangkok on 24 September 2026. Patong Municipality Deputy Palad Sittichai Inrit and Planning and Budget Division chief Janyarat Tiewsakul also attended.

According to Patong Municipality, the award recognises performance in local development, public-sector management and public service delivery. The municipality said the recognition reflected its commitment to transparent operations, good governance and providing government information for residents.

Mayor Lalita said the Platinum-level award was a source of pride and reflected the municipality’s commitment to improving management and public services. She said it would encourage municipal executives, council members, civil servants, staff and other groups involved in the municipality’s work.

Patong Municipality said it would use the award as motivation to further improve public services and residents’ quality of life. Mayor Lalita thanked residents, government agencies, private-sector organisations, community leaders and others for their cooperation, and said the municipality would continue developing Patong as a modern, clean, beautiful, safe and sustainable tourism destination.
