PHIST 2026 in Phuket to focus on turning sustainability into profit
The 7 September event at Angsana Laguna Phuket will bring together more than 1,300 tourism and hospitality professionals.
PHIST 2026 will bring more than 1,300 tourism and hospitality professionals to Phuket on 7 September for discussions on turning sustainability efforts into profitable business practices.
The full-day event, organised by the Phuket Hotels Association, C9 Hotelworks and Greenview, will be held at Angsana Laguna Phuket from 0900 to 1800. Organisers say more than 25 sessions, panels, workshops and fireside chats will cover decarbonisation, ESG reporting, responsible supply chains, biodiversity, food systems, technology and destination stewardship.
KP Ho, executive chairman and founder of Banyan Group, will headline the programme in a conversation with David Johnson, founder and chief executive of Delivering Asia. Ho founded Banyan Group in 1994 and will discuss his vision for sustainable business and the hospitality sector’s future.
“The future of hospitality belongs to businesses that can demonstrate the value sustainability creates – not only for the environment, but for their guests, employees, investors and local communities,” Ho said.
Other speakers include Bjorn Courage of the Phuket Hotels Association and InterContinental Phuket Resort, Nida Wongphanlert of 137 Pillars Hotels & Resorts, Jeff Smith of Six Senses, Maitri Fischer of Eco Mantra, Willem Neimeijer of YAANA Ventures, Branavan Aruljothi of Booking.com, Laurence Onfroy of Beyond Green, Tali Goldman of Market For Good, Ken Kuguru of Winnow and Tawee Impoolsup of Scholars of Sustenance Thailand.
The programme will also feature the Green Groove Sustainability Exhibition, along with Non-Profit and Farm Zones intended to connect hotels with local producers. The PHIST Spotlight Video Awards will recognise industry leadership.
Attendance is free, but advance registration is required.
