PHIST 2026 sustainability event to return to Phuket on 7 September
More than 1,300 tourism and hospitality professionals are expected at PHIST 2026, which will address sustainability challenges at Angsana Laguna Phuket.
The Phuket Hotels for Islands Sustaining Tourism (PHIST) 2026 event is scheduled to take place at Angsana Laguna Phuket on 7 September, with organisers expecting more than 1,300 tourism and hospitality professionals.
The event will run from 9am to 6pm and include more than 25 sessions, panels, workshops and fireside discussions. Topics are set to include decarbonisation, ESG reporting, responsible supply chains, biodiversity, food systems, technology and destination stewardship.
PHIST is co-organised by the Phuket Hotels Association, C9 Hotelworks and Greenview. KP Ho, executive chairman and founder of Banyan Group, is due to speak with David Johnson, founder and chief executive of Delivering Asia.
Other listed speakers include Orathai Gerdsub, member of parliament for Phuket; Bjorn Courage, president of the Phuket Hotels Association and general manager of InterContinental Phuket Resort; Nida Wongphanlert, managing director of 137 Pillars Hotels & Resorts; and Jeff Smith, vice-president of sustainability at Six Senses.
The programme will also feature the Green Groove Sustainability Exhibition, non-profit and farm zones, the PHIST Spotlight Video Awards and a Remade Elegance fashion show. The event is scheduled to conclude with networking drinks at Angsana’s Loy Krathong Bar.
