Phuket authorities have begun formal proceedings to recommend revoking the licence of a cannabis shop in Wichit Subdistrict after an inspection found multiple breaches of its operating conditions.
The inspection took place on Friday, 7 August 2026, following complaints from local residents about gatherings and cannabis smoking inside the establishment, according to The Phuket Express.
Although the shop held a valid licence, inspectors reported finding evidence of cannabis consumption on the premises. They also found that mandatory tax documents — Por Thor 27, Por Thor 28 and Por Thor 33 — were missing, along with proof of compliance with Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP) standards.
Authorities documented the findings and initiated formal steps to recommend licence revocation. The action was described as part of a broader government policy to tighten controls on cannabis businesses and address drug-related nuisances affecting residents and tourists.
