Phuket blood donation clinics scheduled throughout October
The Phuket Regional Blood Centre will run mobile blood donation clinics across Phuket in October and is urging eligible residents to help address an ongoing shortage of Rh-negative blood.
The Phuket Regional Blood Centre (PRBC), working with the Vachira Phuket Hospital Blood Bank, will hold mobile blood donation clinics at locations across Phuket throughout October 2026.
The PRBC has again highlighted an ongoing shortage of Rh-negative blood, with the centre saying demand remains high because of tourist-related accidents and other medical emergencies. The wider programme also includes clinics in Phang Nga and Krabi.

Donors should be in good health, get sufficient sleep, avoid alcohol for 24 hours beforehand, eat a healthy low-fat meal at least three hours before donating, avoid donating while taking antibiotics and drink plenty of water.
Donors must bring identification, complete a registration form and undergo a brief health check, including blood pressure and haemoglobin assessments, followed by a short meeting with a doctor. The donation itself takes less than seven minutes. Donors are advised to have a snack, rest briefly and drink three to four glasses of water afterwards.
The PRBC at 38/193 Rattanakosin 200 Pi Road in Talat Nuea, Phuket Town, is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; from 8:30am to 7:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and from 9am to 3:30pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
