Phuket could see up to six direct flights a week from Israel
A third Israeli airline is reportedly considering flights to Phuket, which could raise weekly direct services from four or five to five or six, although the route has not been confirmed.
Phuket could see five or six direct flights a week from Israel if Israir Airline launches a service on the route, according to a report by Phuket Times published on 23 September 2026.
El Al Israel Airlines and Arkia Israeli Airlines currently operate direct flights between Tel Aviv and Phuket, with four or five services a week, Phuket Times reported. Israir is considering joining the route, which could raise the total to five or six flights per week.
The proposed service has not been confirmed by Israir or Phuket authorities. Phuket Times did not identify a source for the report.
The report linked the possible increase to growing demand from Israeli visitors. Data from the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Phuket office showed that 16,152 Israeli visitors arrived in Phuket in July, up 52.43% from the same month last year. July arrivals were also 1,204.68% higher than in July 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Israeli market recorded the fastest growth among Phuket’s 10 largest source markets in July, according to the TAT figures.
Phuket received 8,096,059 visitors between January and July, down 1.53% from the same period last year. Tourism revenue was approximately B310.96 billion, down 0.72%, while hotel occupancy stood at 75.56%, a year-on-year decrease of 1.74%.
