The enforcement action took place on 16 July 2026 as authorities sought to improve marine safety and boost confidence among tourists visiting Phuket. The operation targeted jet ski businesses operating illegally in the province.
Adul Raluekmul, director of the Phuket Regional Marine Office, assigned Thirapong Phannak, a senior official, to carry out the enforcement work. The office said the action formed part of its effort to address illegal jet ski operations and strengthen safety oversight in Phuket’s marine sector.
The seized vessels and fines represent the main enforcement measures identified in the report. The maximum fine cited was 10,000 baht.
