Phuket forecast: isolated heavy rain and rougher seas on 10 October

Phuket is forecast to see scattered thunderstorms, isolated heavy rain and northwesterly winds of up to 30km/h on 10 October 2026.

Phuket is forecast to experience scattered thunderstorms and isolated heavy rain on Saturday, 10 October 2026, according to Thailand’s Meteorological Department.

Temperatures in the province are expected to range from 23C to 25C overnight and reach highs of 32C to 34C. Northwesterly winds are forecast at 15 to 30km/h.

Waves in the Andaman Sea are expected to reach 1 to 2 metres, rising above 2 metres in areas affected by thunderstorms. The department advised vessels to avoid thundershowers.

It also warned that accumulated heavy rain could trigger flash floods and overflows near waterways, foothills and low-lying areas.

The Association of Thai Travel Agents has formally opposed Thailand’s proposed B1,000 tax on every air departure and asked the Finance Ministry to delay it indefinitely. The tax is not in force, and consultation runs until 29 October.
