Phuket Governor Honors Young Musician Nene Royal for International Achievements
Phuket Governor Chotnarin Kerdsom has honored 16-year-old musician Nene Royal for her international achievements, including advancing on America’s Got Talent after receiving four “Yes” votes.
Phuket Governor Chotnarin Kerdsom presented a certificate of honor to 16-year-old musician Rattikan Amloy, known as “Nene Royal” or “Praew,” at Phuket Provincial Hall, recognizing her musical talent and international achievements.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor Romdon Hayiawae, Provincial Education Officer Panna Phromwichian, and senior officials from government and security agencies. Governor Chotnarin praised Nene Royal as a role model for Thai youth, citing her perseverance, discipline and success in representing Phuket and Thailand internationally.
Nene Royal, a student at Kajonkietsuksa International School, began playing music at the age of six and has built a social-media following of more than three million people. She was named a Featured Artist by Enya Music and has won the Overdrive Guitar Contest and the King Power Band Competition.
She recently advanced on the U.S. television program America’s Got Talent after performing “Zombie” and receiving four “Yes” votes from the judges. She is preparing her debut EP.
Thailand’s Tourism and Sports Minister Surasak Phancharoenworakul also introduced Nene Royal to Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at Government House. The meeting was presented as government support for young Thai talent and as part of efforts connected with promoting the Amazing Thailand tourism brand.
