Phuket governor orders agencies to implement government and Interior Ministry directives

Phuket Governor Nirat Pongsitthaworn has instructed provincial agencies to seriously implement directives issued by the government and the Interior Ministry after a policy meeting held via video conference.

According to the source, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul chaired the meeting from the Interior Ministry’s Ratchasiha Room, outlining key government and ministry policies under the “Mahadthai Action 5 PLUS” framework, aimed at improving people’s quality of life, strengthening safety and driving the grassroots economy.

Nirat, joined by deputy governors, heads of government offices, district chiefs and related agencies, attended the policy briefing from Muk Andha meeting room at Phuket Provincial Hall.

After the meeting, Nirat told all provincial agencies to turn the directives into concrete action. The source said he emphasized work on the grassroots economy, public quality of life, drug prevention and suppression, maintaining public order, disaster prevention and mitigation, and safety for residents and tourists.

The source described public safety as a key mission for Phuket as an international tourist destination.

It said Phuket is ready to fully support the policies of the government and the Interior Ministry by integrating cooperation across sectors to advance the province’s economic, social and security development, while also improving quality of life, increasing safety in all areas and preparing to respond effectively to different situations.
