Phuket Immigration to close for two October holidays

Phuket Immigration will close on Tuesday, 13 October, and Friday, 23 October, for two public holidays, according to a notice from the office.

The 13 October closure is for H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great Memorial Day, marking the 10th anniversary of the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, also known as Rama IX. The office will close again on 23 October for Chulalongkorn Memorial Day, which commemorates the death of King Chulalongkorn, or Rama V, in 1910.

Phuket Immigration will reopen on the next working day after each holiday. Foreigners needing visa extensions, 90-day reporting or other immigration services have been advised to plan their visits around the closures, particularly if appointments or deadlines fall near the holidays. Government offices will also remain closed during their regular Saturday and Sunday weekends.
