UPDATE: Phuket included in TMD thunderstorm forecast for November 5
TMD Warning Bulletin No. 7 forecasts very heavy rain in southern Thailand from 5–9 November, while a separate midnight forecast puts Phuket among Andaman areas facing thundershowers on 5 November.
Phuket is among the Andaman coast areas forecast to experience thundershowers on 5 November, while Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) Warning Bulletin No. 7 warns of very heavy rain in southern Thailand from 5–9 November.
Bangkok Biz News reported on 4 November 2026 that Bulletin No. 7 forecast thunderstorms across 60% of the area, mainly in Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
The department’s midnight forecast for 5 November put thundershower coverage at 60% across the Andaman coast, mainly in the same five provinces. Temperatures in the area were forecast to range from 23–26°C overnight to 32–35°C during the day, with easterly winds of 15–30 km/h.
The department advised mariners in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea to navigate with caution and avoid thundershowers, where waves could exceed 2 metres. Outside storm areas, waves along the Andaman coast were forecast at about 1 metre, rising above 1 metre farther offshore.
Southern Thailand was expected to receive more rain from 7–9 November, with heavy rain forecast in many parts and isolated very heavy downpours. The difference between the 5–9 November and 7–9 November periods reflects different TMD forecast bulletins: Bulletin No. 7, reported on 4 November, covered the broader warning period, while the midnight forecast gave the later timing for the additional rain outlook.
