Phuket authorities are preparing a homecoming reception for 16-year-old musician Nene Royal after her victory on America’s Got Talent Season 21, according to a provincial government announcement published on 25 September 2026.
Governor Chotnarin Kerdsom assigned Deputy Governor and provincial spokesperson Romdon Haji-Awae to announce the preparations for the Phuket native. The announcement described Nene’s success as a source of pride for Phuket and Thailand and said her international achievement could inspire young people to develop their talents.
Authorities are coordinating with relevant parties to confirm her return schedule. Once her travel arrangements are finalised, the province plans to hold a special reception for residents to welcome her home.
The event is planned under the theme “FROM PHUKET. TO THE WORLD. — Welcome Home, Nene Royal.” The announcement identifies Nene as the first contestant from Thailand to win the long-running American competition.
The announcement gives her personal name in two different forms, Rattikarn Amloy and Praew Rattikan Amloy.
