Police in Wichit and Cherng Talay arrested four foreign nationals in separate drug-related operations involving methamphetamine and cocaine, authorities said.
Wichit Police arrested three Myanmar nationals on 6 November during inspections targeting migrant workers suspected of involvement in illegal activities. The suspects were identified as Zaw, 23, Zay Ya Aung, 34, and Hein Htet Thu, 22.
Police said Zaw was found without a passport and faces charges of possessing and consuming a Category 1 narcotic, methamphetamine, as well as entering or remaining in Thailand without permission or with an expired permit. Zay Ya Aung was charged with possessing and consuming methamphetamine.
Officers seized two orange methamphetamine pills in a plastic bag. Hein Htet Thu was charged with consuming methamphetamine, also known as ya ba. Police said urine samples from all three men tested positive for methamphetamine using drug-screening kits.
