Phuket City Police arrested a 33-year-old man on May 7, 2026, in connection with a burglary at a foreign resident’s home in Phuket, police said. Investigators said the suspect, identified only as Damrongsak, is accused of stealing more than 15 items and was detained at a rented house in Soi Honsai Thong 3 in Rassada after officers linked him to the case.
The complaint said the break-in targeted a home on Mae Luan Road in Talad Yai. Police said surveillance footage showed a motorcycle with a sidecar being used during the burglary.
Recovered items and charges
Officers said the vehicle seen on camera matched a red Honda Wave motorcycle with sidecar found at the suspect’s residence. Police also recovered stolen property including a projector, sound equipment, kitchen appliances and furniture.
During questioning, the suspect admitted the burglary and told police he sold stolen items to buy methamphetamine and cover daily living expenses, according to investigators. He was charged with nighttime burglary in a dwelling using a vehicle to facilitate the crime and illegal drug use.
Police said the suspect was handed over to investigators at Phuket City Police Station for prosecution.
