Phuket police arrested a Myanmar national and seized more than 1kg of crystal methamphetamine during an operation in the city, according to police.
Officers searched the suspect’s residence and nearby hideouts, where they said the drugs had been concealed. They also found equipment used to package and store narcotics.
Police impounded a red-plated vehicle believed to be linked to the trafficking operation. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and authorities said the evidence would support charges and further investigation into the wider distribution network.
