Anti-narcotics officers in Phuket have arrested a 44-year-old man and seized 400.03 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 14,128 methamphetamine pills during a raid in Rassada as part of the nationwide "90-Day Anti-Drug Operation."

The arrest was made on Wednesday, June 8, when the Provincial Police Narcotics Suppression Unit carried out a raid at a residence in Soi Bang Chee Lao, Rassada Subdistrict, in Mueang Phuket District. The operation was conducted under the command of Provincial Police Commander Pol. Maj. Gen. Sinlert Sukhum and senior investigative officers.

Police identified the suspect only as Mr. Yoi, 44. Officers said they seized 400.03 grams of crystal methamphetamine, also known as ice, and 14,128 methamphetamine tablets, commonly known as yaba. Authorities also confiscated a Honda Forza motorcycle valued at about 200,000 baht.

Investigators charged the suspect with possession of Category 1 narcotics, including ice and methamphetamine, with intent to sell. Authorities said the offense is considered a threat to public safety and national security. He also faces a charge of illegal drug use.

After the arrest, the suspect was transferred to Phuket City Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.

Officials said the case is part of a broader 90-day strategy aimed at dismantling drug networks and limiting the spread of narcotics in local communities. The seizure adds to Phuket's contribution to the wider anti-drug campaign now being carried out across the country.
