Phuket police arrest woman accused of selling unlicensed weight-loss products online
A 25-year-old woman was arrested in Rassada after police seized four weight-loss kits containing tirzepatide, bacteriostatic water and syringes.
Phuket City Police, working with the Phuket Provincial Public Health Office, arrested a 25-year-old woman accused of selling unlicensed weight-loss products online.
The suspect, identified only as Ms “Ploy” as an alias, was detained at a rented room in Rassada Subdistrict, Muang District, after police executed a search warrant. Officers seized four “PEPTIDE” weight-loss kits containing tirzepatide 10 mg, bacteriostatic water and syringes.
The operation followed complaints from local residents who said the room was being used to sell unauthorised weight-loss products. Police conducted surveillance before carrying out the search.
Authorities charged the suspect under sections 12 and 72 of Thailand’s Drug Act. Section 12 prohibits the manufacture, sale or import of modern drugs without a licence, while Section 72 prohibits the sale or import of drugs not registered with the Food and Drug Administration.
The suspect and the seized items were handed over to Phuket City Police investigators for legal proceedings.
