Phuket products showcased at nine-day OTOP exhibition in Muang Thong Thani

Phuket is showcasing locally made products and traditional knowledge at a nine-day OTOP exhibition at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Muang Thong Thani.

The governor attended the event on Monday (Aug 10), as Phuket joined other provinces in presenting goods to a wider market. The province’s participation is intended to expand opportunities for local producers and occupational groups while promoting products linked to Phuket’s identity and local knowledge.

The exhibition, running from Aug 8-16, features more than 3,000 OTOP producers and entrepreneurs offering more than 150,000 products. It includes goods from three- to five-star OTOP producers, the Royal Arts and Crafts Foundation, Thai fabric projects, food vendors and artists.

Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul presided over the opening ceremony, which was attended by cabinet ministers, provincial governors, Interior Ministry officials and foreign ambassadors. Organisers reported sales of more than B146 million during the first two days.

Held under the theme “RADIANCE OF SIAM: The Radiance of the Land”, the exhibition also features cultural performances and displays of Thai handicrafts and fabrics, including work developed under the royal patronage of Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. It is open daily from 10am to 9pm through Aug 16 at Challenger 1-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
